What will I wear for summer festival 2016?








So, it’s less then two days to go for Amsterdam Open Air, AOA is a Coachella of Europe!  Thanks to my friends at star star design I found the perfect pieces to out together my look. So in love with their collection, they have everything you can imagine from unique clothing line, statement head pieces and crazy bunch of accessories. How to master a street style look?

Good morning lovers,

How is everyone doing? Well, last few days have been crazy for me. We have finally moved into our new apartment. I am super excited about this new chapter!

Let’s get straight into the matter. Today I want to talk about all things street and style. Are you also obsessed with street style pictures. Well, I spend most of my free time going through street style pictures, especially the ones from fashion week. As much as I love the runway shows, I personally think street always does it better. Street style is all about knowing your style and customising each look to fit your personality. On the streets we do it bigger, louder brighter and some time all of it together. I really believe that these street style expertise are the most creative people in fashion. They are not afraid to try and experiment. Street always brings the freshness and newness to a existing trend.

If you have realised most of my pictures have this edgy street style flavour to it. The reason being, A: I wear the looks that I post. B: I am exactly the same person in pictures and walking around town getting shit done. Unless it’s an editorial where I most probably have the weirdest clothes or no clothes. haha.. Nay just kidding. So to smash a street style look you first need to have personal style. But finding your personal style is like finding that thing that almost doesn’t exist. To get their you have to dig deeper and experiment a lot, commit some fashion blenders. Oh well, now I am just exaggerating a bit. Honestly, personal style doesn’t knock at your door and say I am here, I believe you have to find it. For some it just comes easy like Alexa Chung. So take lessons from the masters of street style, experiment a few and stick to the ones you feel comfortable and you in it.

Trend alert “new sexy is here”

There is a new trend in town and we are in love. Cold shoulders are here stay! From Celine, Chanel To Givenchy we saw this trend taking over the runway. Legs, cleavage and abs have always been shown by media as the sexy part of women’s body. However, this spring/summer collection was so refreshing to see designers take new direction.

Though this trend is not meant for everyone, I still think you can embrace this in so many different ways. Honestly, I feel most women are conscious about their arms and it’s always been looked as a “men thing to have strong arms and shoulders”. However, things have changed over the years. Women of this age want to be healthy, fit, independent and successful. And they like the idea of breaking the stereotype 😉

Be the energy you want to attract








I don’t know if it’s too early to start dressing for summer already? Well, It’s been a long weird winter so far. Christmas felt like spring with flowers blooming in the Garden and in few weeks it went straight to  freezing  – 5. So, here we are discussing all things summer and positive vibes only. Haha… Having said that,  I am a sucker for positive energy. “ Be the energy you want to attract “ Some time in life when things don’t go the way you wanted them to be, just take a deep breath and remember nothing is permanent and this shall pass too. We all go through that bump and I believe its life’s way of giving us a reality check. Be patient and let it pass. I like to think of it in a positive way and be grateful for  what I have and be thankful that it would have been worse. The best therapy I believe in is “Run it out”. Go run through the rain, wind or sunshine… run harder, faster and faster. Detox from what happened and move on. And the most important surround yourself with positive energy, because this is the time we need it the most.

So today I am looking back to my summer time Goa and it puts a big smile on my face 🙂

Hola lovers,

Are you surprised to see me in this all black outfit? Well, me too! Working with fun team also means that  we plan our outfit for the next day. Few months ago  we decided to wear all black outfit on a saturday, who doesn’t like black? Honestly, I Love twining but I had my doubts for all black everything. I was a bit afraid that I might be missing this colour in my closet. Well, you must be wondering how difficult this could be… throw on black jeans+black tee=done.

Guess what, I ended up not being in the picture. I am not ashamed to say this but I only had one pair of  black jeans and I hated them. Since I do not like the way they fit, they have been laying around untouched for years This might  sound a bit weird but I realised I am not a big fan of all black everything after all. Any ways, thank god for this day I realised I need a good pair of black skinny jeans. I wasn’t sure if this Topshop Joni jeans were my cup of tea. Well, I am so glad I choose wisely and I choose them! They are super high wasted, super stretchy, ankle grazer and very comfortable. I love them so much. They are the prefect fit to dress down or dress up!

How to keep your New Year’s Resolution!

Hello February!

I hope everyone survived the goals month. January is never an easy month for most of us. After recovering from long holidays and kicking your first month of the year with new goals could be a bit stressful. Well, the question is; Are you still on it? Today I am making a serious case about surviving post the goal’s month.

To be honest, I don’t even remember how and when it started with me. Initially, It was all about looking for some change and not giving a damn about achieving them. Well, all of that changed quickly since I started writing them down. I guess writing down makes it more hardcore, and means you are freaking serious. Every year we all get the chance to start fresh, set new goals and look froward to new year with new beginnings. I personally love the fact that once every year I get the chance set new goals for myself or push myself to try something new.

Since last month was all about achieving personally goals, I want to discuss about the most talked goal every NY #fitnessgoals. 

Everyone feels guilty after the holidays. Few weeks after NYE the gym is crowded with 2 types of people; 1)The regulars: They are dedicated individuals who always show up no matter what. That’s been said they are a bit arrogant and know it all people. Honestly, you can’t blame them, they are in the gym to get shit done. They do not like to stand around chatting or checking out who is doing what. They mind their business and expect the same from others.

2) Newbie / NYE goal seeker: Well this category is very popular for few days. Haha… Nay, that’s not true, there are exceptions. I really respect people who set their mind into something and really go after it. The regulars do inspire these people but honestly they scare them even more. Few years ago I had to go through this experience as well. The fact is I wanted to be as good as the rest, but I wasn’t. So I had to deal with it. Don’t let them demotivate you, remember you are their for yourself! If you really get intimidated by the regulars then find your gym buddy. Trust me the pressure is really off when you are tagging with someone. Pick a friend who is as dedicated as you’re or else you will end up exhausting yourself trying to push someone who doesn’t give a damn.

After two weeks into January people start loosing their interest and are tempted to skip the routine. After all, we are human and are bound to temptations. So don’t be too harsh on yourself. However, don’t take this as a defeat and consider this a cheat meal and be good. To be honest, I personally don’t believe in a diet. However, I do believe and follow a vegan detox. As I mentioned in my previous post, detox helps me restart and jumpstart healthy habits. Eating consciously with right quantity and interval is the key. A diet will give you temporary results, so altering eating habits and building healthy lifestyle is the life time goal.

I was done with my Vegan detox a few days ago. I am not going to lie, I had my bad days during this detox. However, I am still determined to eat Vegan and have cheat days.

So don’t quit, you got this!

How to rock a band tee?

Once again the streets are leading the game. They are everywhere, it’s kind of becoming a fashion  staple and something Kristen Stewart will throw on running out the door. They can be both Glam & Grungy. If you ask me it’s a personal choice and how you want to be taken. Sometime, grungy vibe with glam elements is a good surprise and refreshing to see. You can obviously stick to the old rock & roll stye, which I think is pretty rebellious and cool.

For the last few months I have been on this” rock your band tee diet” and I am loving it! I have worn them for severally occasions and style them differently; glam vs grunge, casual jeans & tee day & old school badass rock & roll chic. Haha… No, Who am I kidding. Well, the point is I love it a lot.

Queen of all Yoga poses! Shoulderstand or Salamba Sarvangasana








Hope everyone is ready to kickstart this week. Well, I am feeling extra excited after my holidays. Last 3 weeks were amazing and obviously it went by super fast.

Today I am talking about mother of all asana; Shoulder Stand or Salamba Sarvangasana. B.K.S Iyengar referred shoulder stand as the Queen of Asana or Sarvangasana. In Iyengar’s own words (book of yoga) ’Light on Yoga’ “The importance of Sarvangasana cannot be over-emphasised. It is one of the greatest boons conferred on humanity by our ancient sages. Sarvangasana is the Mother of asanas. As a mother strives for harmony and happiness in the home, this asana strives for harmony and happiness in the human system. it is a panacea for most common ailments.”

Do you know what Sarvangasana actually means? In Sanskrit, Sarva means “all” or “entire” and Anga means “organ” or “body part.” Translated, it means “full body pose” because of its benefits for the whole body. Since it helps the entire body you ca not ignore the benefits from this pose. In fact Sri Dharma Mittra states that “some yogi’s only do this pose,” and it can be held from 30 seconds to 30 minutes. So Sarvangasana is cure to all: from common cold to constipation.

Here are some of the positive effects of Shoulder Stand:

1) Answer to thyroid imbalance: This pose is proven to balance thyroid and hypothalamus glands. It brings blood to the thyroid and parathyroid, helping them properly secrete hormones.

2)  Strengthens the heart and lungs: Due to the inverted position, it reduces strain on the heart. It gives the heart a break from working so hard and helps to oxygenate the lungs. This pose has positive effect on people suffering from asthma, bronchitis and throat ailments may get relief.

3) Soothes and calms the nervous system: Sarvangasana is an answer to people who are easily irritated or prone to anger or nervous breakdowns. Daily practice of Sarvangasana will stabilise and make you less reactive to life’s circumstances.

4) Reduces constipation: Because of the inversion and change in gravitation the bowels move freely and constipation is relieved.

5) Activates throat chakra ( VISUDDAH): Shoulderstand is also practice to activate our fifth chakra. This chakra is associated with creativity and self expression. When this Chakra is open, our negative experiences can easily be transformed into wisdom and leaning.

6) Treats insomnia: Practicing Shoulderstand promotes deep sleep and therefore help cure insomnia.

7) Reduces wrinkles: Did you know that Marilyn Monroe was a yogi and practiced Shoulderstand daily? Well, Due to increased blood flow to the face, wrinkles can be reduced.

As with many yoga postures, there are contraindications.

  •  People with high blood pressure, detached retina, glaucoma, hernias, cardiovascular disease, cervical spondylitis, and/or slipped discs should not practice shoulderstand.
  • If you have or have had a neck injury, seek advice from an experienced yoga teacher before beginning to practice shoulderstand.
  • Avoid during pregnancy.
  • It is advised that women avoid inversions when menstruating.
  • To receive similar benefits in a more restorative way, try placing a block under the sacrum to elevate the hips above the heart for Vipartita Karani (or legs up the wall)

How to do Shoulderstand:

Place the heels of the palms at the small of your back with the fingertips pointing up towards the ceiling. Lift the legs up high into the air into Shoulder Stand.Move the chin away from your chest, pull in through the belly and tuck the pelvis under. You want the ankles to be stacked above the knees, knees above the hips and hips above shoulders in one straight line.Exhale to release the knees back to the chest and slowly roll down the spine. Keep the knees in and slowly rock side to side.

Note: Shoulder stand is considered to be an intermediate to advanced pose. Do not perform this pose without prior experience or unless you are performing under the supervision of an experienced instructor.

Some of you who know me personally know that I practice yoga in the morning before stepping of the house. Shoulderstand is one of the posture that I will do every single day. It has personally helped me in many ways. Hope you guys are inspired to practice and get on that mat everyday. Hi lovelies, how have you all been? It’s been almost 2 weeks since my last post. Well, as you all know, I am on a vacation. Quick stop in Dubai and straight home for Diwali! This Diwali was a special one for me.  My favourite festival of the year plus I was home with my family.

Well, Dubai was great expect for one thing, phone crisis all over again. One morning I woke up to a dead phone. Haha… in a weeks time I had a new phone from Apple. Well, I tried my best to bring alive my dead phone. But it didn’t workout. Since, I managed to get 2 phones in a month – I decided to share some tips and tricks to tackle iPhone crisis.

If you managed to get your phone drunk or share some of your coffee than be ready to kiss your phone good bye. Apple, will not replace your phone even under icare unless you have a separate insurance that takes care of water damage. Well, the good news is Apple will offer to replace your iPhone(6) on payment of €310.

Second scenario. What if you wake up to a dead phone? Or what can you do when your iphone acts suspicious and weird. Well, according to the internet, apple phones can act a bit strange.  iPhone6 and 6s are prone to blur screen, and software crashes and the most common frozen screen.

Follow these steps to resolve the problem:

  1. Restart your phone ( press home & start button for 10seconds).
  2. You may have to repeat step 1 for few times before it really works.
  3. If the restart fails than try to restore the phone. This means you would loose some information from your phone. Plug your phone to your computer while pressing the home button. Realize the home button, once you see connecting to iTunes on your phone screen. Go ahead and restore your phone. You may have to try this step few times before it really works.
  4. If step 3 fails, most probably it’s the end of your phone. Visit your nearest Apple store or service provider.

Note: Visit only Apple store if visiting abroad. Authorised service providers will not able to help since you need the proof of purchase.
